Preservation of a boat of that quality should be priority as well as maintaining resell value.
I do everything I can to preserve and keep her in pristine condition.
There are enough conditions working against us in season, winter time it is at rest and protected from the elements.
Been there done that. Had a Formula 38 Fastech. It was a great boat, absolutely loved it. I sold mine in 2015 when everyone I ran with got out or into cruisers. I love cruising way better.
Just do your due diligence if your going to jump in to go fast. It will cost you $’s to keep it running.
Sad day in boating paradise... I am all winterized up. I have been off the boat for 24 hours and I'm already heading into winter depression. Time to start booking flights to warmer areas to watch others go boating :)
I did the aftercoolers once on my own. I can say I did it, I can also say I will never attempt to do it again.
I paid for aftercooler and heat exchanger maintenance in 2022 with no issues to either $5,200. I would be happy to pay that every time!
I just replace my heat exchanger on the generator yesterday. It was pretty corroded and as it turns out, it was full of pieces from broken impeller fins. I was lucky it still had enough water flow.
You are reading both correctly. I have the same issue with my waste tank float, always shows 1/2 full. Fortunately my water tank reads accurately and shows the same way yours does when full.
I do believe we have to pull out the wast tank probe to see if the floats are gunked up and can be...
UPDATE:
When I returned to the boat last week since this problem occurred. I fired up the TV antenna and all worked as it should. Go firgure... it must have been from the storms that rolled through the area. What is confusing, we have had storms in the past that would cause a delay in service...
