I had the same engine/drive package on my previous boat and had the same thing happen. Engine went into 'limp mode' when a code was thrown - wouldn't run past 3000 rpm. Have your mechanic plug in and check for you. It was a bad ICM. Replaced it and cleared the code and all was good.
Huh? Nevermind then.
Must be on a batch by batch basis. It's just been my experience that they tend to be too bright-white. Regardless, cheap real estate...
I'd installed both of mine myself, so no one to blame but me if I wasn't happy. However, the gelcoat of he platforms does tend to run a little 'whiter' than most standard gelcoats. The only manufacturer that seems to have so bright a white is Four Winns, who use a cooler white than the standard...
I've gotten two from them in the past, have multiple friends who have purchased a platform from the company. You have nothing to worry about... never heard a complaint. Well, I had a boating bud who purchased their platform and the gelcoat was flaking off in small chips after 3 seasons. They...
Hey Mystic -
Since you're from Huntington, I assume you'll be on Raystown Lake. This'll be my 9th season. You'll love it...
Anchoring in a cove... anchor out front - stern line to a tree. You'll be safe and sound!
Such is boating.
It's best just to expect the unexpected expense or you'll drive yourself crazy. Every year it'll be something, so you can't let it take you by surprise.

And then after 3 winters of work. Did everything myself including the airbrushing, except for the additional...
So true. Boating friends have this on a Rinker 410 and Regal 4060 and the third year after new... major mildew issues and a constant battle. Even if you keep cleaning it, the vinyl stains horribly.
Getting up in the morning (a little later than usual)... sipping that first cup of coffee as you look out over the water... watching your friends start to meander out the flaps of their canvas and give you a wave and grin...
... closest thing on this earth to heaven.
That'd be great. I wish you happy boating for 2011!
I do understand that posts such as these often digress towards the negative. I've never understood the point of insulting another man's choice or such emotional attachment to a product. I really enjoy my boat, or any boat for that matter, but...
It is this previous post that prompted the remarks. My point being, I do not know you well enough to take your word as gospel and reserved the right to question it further. I think you'll notice that I've not gotten the least bit riled or insulting. I only question the assertion based on the...
