    FlyBridge removal

Ok, I was talking to an older gentleman last week about my SRV240 Flybridge and he was telling me the some people remove thier flybridge and put a "cap" over where the flybridge is to make the boat more stable......has anyone done this type of modification? I don't know that I am 100% going to...

    Tilt Trim question

it is kinda odd (for me) the switch has 2 up buttons and 2 down buttons, I have never seen one like it. I will try to upload a pic of it tomorrow when I get home. How do I hook up the four wires to a three pole switch? The new switch is a rocker type "normally off" switch.......

    Tilt Trim question

Ok, my 1975 SRV 240's tilt trim switch quit, I went to our local marine store and found a switch but I am having some trouble figuring out how to rewire it......the shop recommended a 3 wire switch and the boat had a 4 wire switch........I am dumb-founded! I jumped across the solenoid and...

    Wood question

Ike, thanks for the info, you have to remember, I don't really know where to look.....I was trying all the local lumber yards/home improvement stores because that is all I know :) (I am a car guy trying to get into the boaters world)

    Wood question

The reason I was asking about aluminum, the wood pieces that I removed were attached to the boat via aluminum tabs.......as far as working with aluminum, I can weld it myself and have a buddy powder coat it for me to prevent any corrosion...there isn't any corrosion on any of the bare aluminum...

I will take some pics tonight....if it isn't raining too hard. So I guess using some aluminum "angle" is or isn't a good idea???? I have a friend who can powder coat it for me for a 6 pack of the cheap stuff :)

    Wood question

Yes, the dimensions are 2"x2" or close to it.... All this is for is the motor "cover" and some pieces that go along the top of the transom area that hold up the "coolers" mounted to the transom wall. Sorry if I have miss named the area..... Again, still very wet behind the ears when it comes to...
