Westerbeke Gas Generator Alternate Parts Sources

I'm not really sweating the $73. I'll probably just order it. I'm more asking because there might be other parts that I need. Why did the rocker snap? I haven't found the reason yet... I like to know what options there are.

Westerbeke Gas Generator Alternate Parts Sources

Looking for some help to find a rocker arm for a 2003 Westerbeke 5 BCG gas generator. P/N: 037908 I'm hoping there is a cross reference to something like the 86 Sprint earlier in this thread. Those are only $12-30... Here are pics of mine and the listing at Westerbeke. Thanks for any help.

    A Marine's Poem

Oldy, but a goody. One favor. If you're going to forward it, replace "Soldier" with Marine. We are Marines, not Soldiers. https://mission22.com/

    7.4 MPI Oil Change Issue

Same thing happened with mine. I'm sure it's because the dipstick tube didn't get positioned correctly. It's too far off the bottom of the pan. I'm installing a drain plug hose and will run it up the side of my motor where I can connect a pump.

1999 454 Mag MPI just quits - videos

Yes. Some guys will cut the rear lip off the back of the timing cover to get it in there. No thanks... Too much work to find a leak when you're done.

Should you buy a gun or not?

Not many do have that problem... I've been through 100s, if not thousands of training and qualifications shoots for rifle and pistol as a Marine as well as a State and Federal LEO. Perfect scores are extremely few and far between. If perfect scores are happening, the training or qual needs to be...

If not for bad luck I'd have none....finally got boat working and Big block goes boom

Heads are a non issue now. You just need the right head gaskets if you want to put Mk IV heads on a Gen VI 454. Gen VI motors just have a far superior block. Not to knock Mk IV, but that's just how it is.

I hear people say that, but I still see them all over the place. I have four Gen 6 L29s so I'm all stocked up for now thankfully. One in the boat, two in the garage and one in my 69 Camaro. Merlin would definitely be a nice way to go if you needed to!

Nah. You just have to know where to look. Junk yards are still full of them. Certain 96-01 Chevy vans will have one for instance. Same motor, but would need a cam for starters. I have two long blocks sitting in my garage that I picked up for $500 with an extra set of 290 heads. I'm going to...

I get pretty heated myself sometimes. Good thing is, it's the internet. Who really gives a shit? Good luck with whatever you wind up doing.

I'm one of those ignorant old school gear heads. So thanks for that... It's not always about what you learned on the innerweb. Not all heads that are called peanut ports are peanut ports for starters. ie 290s from an L29. Excellent head with tons of potential, but is still limited. Scoflaw...

Mercruiser 7.4L Bravo Gen V Not Starting

I would try holding it open with a clothes pin or something. You might have fouled some plugs if it did close when it was warm.
