I just put on a 15.5 x 17 pitch 3 ear aluminum. The old was a 19 pitch and close to the same diameter. It's made a big difference when taking off and maintaining speed through turns. Have you had your cuddy out much? We've made it out 14 or 15 times but I think we're about done for the year...

I think they work better on smaller (lighter) boats than larger boats. I have one on my 20' cuddy and it helps it plane sooner and it keeps it at plane at a lower speed. It took away 2-3 mph at the top end, but the improvement in getting on plane was worth the speed loss. I'll keep it on...

I wasn't able to pull it from the pump but I did pull it from the thermostat housing. I left the block plugs out and poured antifreeze through the water pump until I had a solid stream of pink out the block. I put the block plugs back in and finished filling through the hose until it was full...
