Is there any use for an old bad aft EIM for a 2003 280DA? I have an bad one and was wondering if they were rebuildable?

Is the area behind the microwave open to access any wiring back there? Trying to run a wire from Cabin to cockpit and have it stuck on something behind the microwave. Just asking before i take the microwave out. 2003 280 DA

I replaced mine with the same thing, PD2130. Its was an easy fix.

I hardly ever trim up the outdrives. Mine seems to do better all the way down. I also never use tabs unless I have 4 or more people on board. Its usually just me and the wife so we just leave it be.

Understand your concern. Just have to be careful to only check the fuses and capacitor. Make sure everything is unplugged, and always put the cover back on before powering back up and testing. ( Lots of youtube stuff about these repairs ) Just have to use a little common sense.

use a long extension with the rubber insert in the plug socket. You can do it by feel pretty easy.

I had to replace the thermostat on my starboard engine so I went ahead and replaced it on my port engine as well. Before I did the port engine stat the guage always read 170 at running RPM's. Since I replace it the guage is about 180 to 185. The starboard guage runs around 175. With a heat gun...
