Got it!!! :-) I must have had a prime issue or air lock somewhere. I just kept the engine around 1300 RPM's and eventually the water pressure shot up to about 1.5 and water started pouring out of the drive. Thanks everyone for the help! So glad I didn't have to pull those pumps again!

Jason, thanks man. Good suggestion on the pump cover! Mine had some decent grooves in it... i guess i should order the wear plate and play it safe. How bad do the grooves need to be for it to be an issue? To answer some of your questions... put in quick silver impellers and 100% sure vanes are...

Gotcha, thanks. Yea I have the macerator as well but no closed cooling. I know what you mean, I've hung upside down w/ my feet out of the bilge before, but could never lay down. Getting those hoses off is a major PIA. I think I'll take your suggestion, but once the pump is out I may cut that...

Ahh interesting Jason, thanks for the suggestion. I didn't see where the bracket mounted to the water pump but I assume the bolts are accessible?

Guys, was curious if anyone out there modified the water pump or the bolt that holds the water pump on to make it easier to remove. I have BIII 5.0's in my 280DA and the access to the water pumps is very right. This is my second time doing the impeller change and i can't remember what I did...

Thanks a lot for the reply. Was hoping you would chime in ;-) All six speakers are jl m series 770's . Maybe I wasn't so clear in my op, sorry, but was looking to upgrade amp and get a better one to get the most out of those speakers. Or do you think I should just stick with what I got? Rms on...
