Here's ours. Best thing you can do to a 340! We have screens in the back with roll up Strataglass.

Marinemax Wrightsville Beach has the boat (and what is left of the shaft). The part of the shaft and prop that fell off are in the water near our marina. Now we get to see if Marinemax/Sea Ray will do the right thing and keep me as a customer.
So the diver reported that the starboard shaft broke just a couple of inches in front of the propeller. He found no corrosion, just a very flat break in the shaft. Towing the boat to Marinemax Wrightsville Beach tomorrow.
The diver went under our boat today, found the starboard shaft broken in half. And this occurred while at idle speed. I smell a rat (defective shaft)!
I am certain that I didn't hit anything. The shaft just broke.
Docking in wind with one engine is scary. Thank goodness we have a bow...
My port shaft broke 7 months after buying our new 2007 340 DA. Yesterday my starboard shaft broke (apparently - I haven't been under the boat to check yet). I suddenly lost starboard propulsion at idle speed while entering our marina. The V-drive turns okay. Either lost a prop or a shaft...
Curtis Camp in Caroina Beach, NC, made the custom camper.
He built zippers into the soft top, so we can still attach the stock
canvas if we want to.
These are representative photos. Well worth the cost!

The camper top is the best thing we ever did to our 340 DA.
Makes the cockpit area feel huge, makes the boat enjoyable in all weather. We anchored out last weekend, and we were warm!
Cost about $4500, worth every penny!

It seems to me that this water ought to have a place to drain, even if into the bilge. An eighth inch of standing water under the cockpit refrigerator can't be a good thing. Condensation from the fridge? Rain water running down from the side window drainage grooves?
I end up mopping it up...
It's easy - always buy the biggest boat you can!
We have had our 340 for 3 years. It's big enough for the two of us to spend a week on at a time, and still feel comfortable. We love the boat, can't imagine trading it (even if we do fall prey to "diesel envy" sometimes....)
Gordon & Linda...
We have rainwater pooling in our 2007 340 DA, in the storage compartment adjacent to the cockpit refrigerator. Is there supposed to be a drain under there that's gotten clogged? We tend to keep 1/2 - 3/4" of clear water under the refrigerator.
Thanks for any input.
