    Official 390DA Thread

I've taken that piece off basically to see what was behind it. It is screwed in a few places as well as nailed in. You can pry the whole piece off with carpet intact if you are careful and go slowly so that the screws won't do more than minimal damage to the wood.

    AC pump relay wiring

I believe that on your boat it is behind the electrical panel. You have the take the electrical panel door off, then the panel screws. The panel should then flip down. Check the 44db board as stated above before proceeding or better yet get a copy of your boat's operator manual as it should...

    Official 390DA Thread

Ours was replaced many years ago. I'd go with 6k BTU unless you're in florida. Not sure of the brands but be aware of the size. I think we went with a dometic replacement so that we could use the same controller but there are many more options available nowadays.

    2007 44 Sedan Bridge Toilet

Just replaced mine - about 30' and a straight run from tank to toilet. Original was past her useful life and started to do a poor job of odor prevention. The new hose has made a huge difference. Interesting side note is that searay used two pieces of hose and joined them with a union about...

About to be proud owner of….

Common problem on certain laminates from 2005-2008. There are several posts on the site of owners who have tacked the issue by removing and replacing the offending laminate pieces. We have the cloudy laminate issue on the curved parts of our boat and it is visible if someone points it out. If...

390 Sundancer Door handle springs broke

Agree 100%... but I would agree that it is a bit flimsy and over-engineered mechanism. Small spring and very small gauge clip inside that mechanism that will not last with heavy use. Also the engineering of it uses leverage points and metal-to-metal integration points that could have been...

390 Sundancer Door handle springs broke

I've repaired the spring on one but it didn't last. You can pry off the side of the mechanism and see the spring in there. I ended up buy a replacement. At FP.

Cape May, NJ vs Ocean City, MD. Pros and cons...

Been to both many times. Advice above is accurate EXCEPT to add that the sunset marina in OCMD is an absolutely amazing marina. The owner has over 75 tropical plants in the marina (palm trees) and has them all shipped down to NC for the winter via big rigs, and then back in the spring. No...

Vacuflush toilet hose replacement 2008 330DA

Nice post. Did the same project on our 40 this past spring. Original hose was pretty cracked-up but I don't think it was permeated. I ended-up not having to use the coupler approach. Just pushed the new hose through on its own. PIA was accessing the silicone sealant they used to fill-in the...

    Beam Vac randomly starts/stops

We love ours too. Best feature is that by sending the exhaust outside, the cabin stays quiet (with no airborne pollutants) than using other vacuum methods. Haven't replaced the bag in years but we do have a few extras onboard. You probably have a short somewhere. I would disconnect the low...

I can't be the only one fascinated by this Titan sub ordeal

I won't be surprised if OCEANGATE files for bankruptcy today. Revenue stream gone.. loans, bills, investigations and looming litigation remain. “If there were aspects of the design or construction of this vessel that were kept from the passengers or it was knowingly operated despite...

    Freezer keeps defrosting

First confirm that it is operating on both AC and DC. The power supply is a common culprit. Then you will want to check the temperature in the unit when running over the course of 8-12 hours with the thermostat in the mid position. If the temperature is higher than 50, you have a bad...

    boat hauler east coast

Did the same analysis when i bought my 40. Decided it was safer/easier/cheaper to do the trip by water. Took 4 days from Charleston and was very memorable. I hired a captain who had done that trip literally hundreds of times as the delivery captain for another yacht brand. I can recommend a...
