Looking for a helm seat and seat base/cabinet for a 1987 era 340 express...
seat color/condition not important, but the base should be in good shape...
Live in eastern mass, would travel within reason ;)
Hopefully someone has one around :)
Thanks,
Gary
I know this is an old thread, but the OP and me can't be the only ones this has happened to...
I just got boat running for the season and this is the exact same problem I am having... Looks to have been plugs in these perfect hole and they've blown out due to a freeze... there have to be...
I know it's an old thread, but any images of the finished project?
ANd how did you cut and staple the vinyl at the access door cutouts???
I did my panels and those areas came out like crap ;)
OK,
I am looking into installing a fishfinder in my 87 SR 340ec... I currently have a couple old Datamarine units here, one depth and one trip/knot meter...
I also have a Garmin 2010c which with a big investment can also be used as a sounder, but isn't.
Anyway, I do not use the knot meter and...
Well it isn't an actual "cap", but an end that reduces the size down to the 1 1/2" hose...
It is braised on and a pretty idiotic design...
Why they couldn't have made it one single piece is beyond me.
Regardless, the end weld came loose and that caused the end to pop off causing many, many...
I think the cooler itself came apart, looks like there was a cap or something on the end off a 2" around metel part (the cooler? ) and it's pouring out there... The end of the "tube" has machine holes down it...
I'm assuming that it's the cooler itself that's busted.
Hopefully the motor...
last night i replaced my starboard raw water impeller...
once back together i noticed water jetting out under the motor.
after some some extreme contortions, I see water pouring out of, what I think is, the tranny cooler.
It looks like there was a cap or something on the end that blew off...
Well, cleaned and refilled my homemade charcoal vent filter... it was pretty clogged up...
The hull vent fitting was a bit clogged too, so I blew that out as well as the lines... no pressure build up now, but still no vacuum, so...
The rebuild kit will be here Saturday and I'll get to work on...
Ya I was thinking that maybe because the tank isn't venting it wasn't allowing it to build a vacuum...
Either way, I know how "dangerous" it can be and am going down to the boat now to pull my vent apart and clean it out...
either way, the rebuild kit is on the way and I am hoping I'm good to...
Ya thanks, it's the clamp style, pre 90's...
Of course it's more than the newer style...LOL
Luck o' the Irish I guess! ;)
Thanks agin, you've been a great help!
Thanks all for the help...
I have just ordered the rebuild kit, 4 duckbills, bellows and gaskets for $132 at seacoast services.
They were the best price I found, and great customer service.
I'll post up the outcome.... FINGERS CROSSED! ;)
Ya the pressure in the tank issue is definitely going to be the vent, it's time to clear that out.
But, I am not building vacuum on the vacuum side, when I flush, I get basically gravity fed draining... There are no air leaks in the lines as far as I can tell...
Where the bellows in the vacuum...
the system was originally a treatment system, o the tank could be anywhere i guess...
I'm thinking the bellows got cracked from being jammed with old TP...
I will rip it all apart again today and see where I'm at. :/
Side question, the "t" series is a bellows pump as well, just that it...
