    Water Pressure sensor

I've posted regarding faulty water pressure sensors several times. Because of the frequent replacement issue I have also had, I'm planning to keep my old sensors, and the next time the new one goes I plan to put a little solvent (methyl hydrate) down the sensor hole and blast some high pressure...

    Sensor fault alarms going off.

I've replaced two already in one year on warranty on my 2008260sundeck. Apparently it gets clogged real easy. The sensor costs $150 and minimum one hour labour ($150)-takes about 5 mintues real time to fix when you know where it is. Once I'm off warranty I'll be doing it myself, but I expect it...

    Water Pressure Sensor - Alarm

Check out my thread on "Faulty Water Pressure Sensor". I've had two go this year and I am looking forward to more based on the dealerships/mechanics response. My pressure readings have always stayed at the proper limits-but the sensor has repeatedly failed according to the tests done by the...

    Faulty water pressure sensor

Update to my water pressure sensor in case anyone's reading this thread. I finally located the sensor behind the engine-it screws out like a spark plug and costs $160 for part and $160 for labour (1 hour min charge-actual time about 5 minutes to replace). Mine has gone twice now and covered by...

Bravo III water flow sensor; where is it?

i'm experiencing similar problem with my 2008 260 sundeck;on my boat the sensor is located way behind the engine-you have to look really far back past the back of the engine about centrally located-it is connected to an electrical wire and the sensor screws in like a spark plug into cooling...

Hi, I have a 2008 sundeck 260 bought new and the water pressure sensor has gone twice-or atleast the alarm has indicated it has been faulty twice. it has been replaced under warranty twice in less than a year. the boat does sit in seawater most of the time. is this going to be an ongoing...

    Moving to Grand Cayman...

My wife, child and I just moved to Grand Cayman last January. We bought a 2008 sundeck 260 locally which is perfect for us to use in the sound and for trips to stingray city and rum point. It suits our purposes fine as we also live canal/dock side. We bought locally to avoid alot of hassles...

Thanks-I appreciate that-and all the replies to this thread. There ain't nothin' more hospitable than a crew of boaters.

    Faulty water pressure sensor

Sometimes it's just nice to know how to do it yourself-reading the posts on this site tells me there's lots of boat owners who are quite capable of assisting in the maintenance of their own boat-I'd like to be one of those. PLus warranties only last so long; not too mention my dealer charges me...

    Faulty water pressure sensor

I have a 2008 searay 260 i/o bravo 3, 350HP. Sea water cooling system. The smartcraft guages show proper pressure , and so the dealer did confirm the sensor was faulty. It should be covered by warranty, however if it is a repeatable issue, I wouldn't mind knowing if I could take care of it...

    Faulty water pressure sensor

My dealer just diagnosed a water pressure sensor has failed on my new 260 searay. I've read posts that this is not necessarily uncommon. Is this something I can replace myself, especially if it could be a recurring problem? Based on the posts I've read, I believe the sensor is located at the...
