I replaced the Cool Fuel module with a new one this year and have the old module sitting here collecting dust. Body, old style raw water cooling bracket, painted cap, filter cup and cap. I believe it does not have any leaks, although there are signs of pitting/corrosion in the cooling passages...
My suggestions for you or anyone else considering the older 240 Sundeck (~2001-2010):
- Get the 350 MAG MPI or 383 Stroker. I love the power of our 350 and I think I'd be dissapointed with water sports with anything less
- Watch out for the earlier ones and make sure that you are new enough...
I recently replaced the trim sending unit and am having the same experience. Sometimes it happens so frequently that the SC gauge is practically unusable. I suspect that it shouldn't be doing this and that I have an electrical connection problem somewhere.
