  • I have a 270 AJ with similar problems. The problem was condensation from the A/C . The water drains from the catch pan to the shower sump, the drain fitting was not tight. Tighting it plus sealant worked for a while. The pan has multiple drain holes with rubber plugs which eventially leak. I sealed the problem one and a was well until another leaked, so i sealed them all. so far so good.

The switch for the bilge pump needs 2 1/2" of water to kick on, by that time the floor is under water. Rule makes an 1100 gpm bilge pump that kicked on every 2.5 minutes. If the impellers met resistance it pumped all the water out, if no resistance then it just turnes off. (Defender Marine has them in their catalog). You should reposition the pump to the low point of the bilge. Defender also has a mermaid condensator which is a venturi insert in the AC water pump hose that forms a suction, you run a small vinyl hose into the pan and the water is vacuumed out. Costs about the same as the pump.
