5.0 MPI Alpha One with power steering ... Boat seers just fine at low speeds, but when I attempt to steer while on plane it's like manual steering....got to put real muscle to get her to turn, and I'm not a weak guy.... Any ideas out there?

Yes...the top looks like the Wema unit you linked to. So I guess I can just remove and test the pink wire where it attaches to the gauge for proper operation. Are these senders generally prone to failure after 12 years? Meaning might I be well served to just replace the entire unit? It's not...

2003 200 Sundeck. Fuel gauge problem I did check the gauge by shorting the sender to the ground, and the gauge is OK (swung to full) I opened up the deck hatch to find the pink sender wire to begin to check that, but there is just a black rubber block on top of the tank with a thick black rubber...

Spark plug replacement.... Can any 200SD owners clue me in on replacing plugs on a 5.0 MPI on our boats? I can barely even see the plug wires, and cannot seem to get my arm down the limited engine well side clearance to put my hands on anything, let alone get a plug socket on a plug. Is it...

Success! Replaced cap and rotor on Saturday. Bought spark plugs but could NOT reach beneath the manifolds with the tight side clearances on the 200SD. Never the less, the cap + rotor replacement made all the difference. Started right up on first crank and purred like a happy kitten all weekend...

Putting together a basic tool kit for the boat including a set of box wrenches....does SeaRay use SAE or metric? Or both?

My 200 sundeck with the 5.0 MPI A1 cranks and cranks and SOMETIMES starts (if can get it to cough to life then jam it into reverse to rev it). Just started happening this weekend. Once started in this manner it ran and idled fine the rest of the day. Re-started from warm just fine. Sunday...
