I found the 200 was too bumpy in the in land waters. the cockpit was big enough.
I just don't know if a 240 will be big enough to make any significant diff for the extra cost to buy, run, tow....
Hi all.
I sold my beautiful 200 BR in preparation for 2ftitis and I'm pleased to announce that I have a bad case of it; coincidentally, just in time for the Seattle Boat Show.
I wanted to actually skip the two foot thing and jump up four feet. The trouble is, there aren't many 240 Selects...
I'd love to hear about the reasons for the switch to a 250 from a 220. I've got an '03 200. First boat. I love it, but want a bigger boat. We live in Vancouver and we are fair weather boaters. Sometimes even on nice days, it can get a little choppy and thats the reason for the up-grade. I...
I understand that 2 more feet seems to make sense but what really is the reason you change boats. I've noticed ownership progression that goes a little like 200 BR to 220 or 240 Sundeck to 260 DA....
I've had my 2003 200 BR for 2 months. First boat. I love it. Love the openess, love the...
I thought all tabs were adjustable from the helm. So the Smartabs just adjust to the water pressure? Conversely, the Bennett system would create less drag?
I need this. My wife hates getting beat up. I don't notice it as much hanging on to the steering wheel.
It seems anything over about 25 mph and up and down we go. It stops if i trim the leg right in.
I'm not experienced, but this is what i do: get to my cruising rpm of about 3200 and speed will be over 20 mph and then trim out; the boat speed will increase and I'll trim out a bit more. It...
Finally had enough of drifting around, so i bought an anchor kit.
My 200 BR has an anchor locker, but i'm a little concerned about how to get all that chain out of there without messing up my gelcoat. Any tips?
Also, how do you tie off? the cleats are on either side of the locker. do...
I don't know if this is related to the charging problem i had (or have). I am getting a very low audible alarm, but the gauges are all generally fine.
I though it might be due to a low battery again, so i shut down and switched batteries, but it didn't help. I said 'generally fine'...
I've got a 4 blade stainless on my 200 Select, but i dont know the specs on it. I have the same objectives. Get out of the hole and maintain plane at a lower speed. Right now i drop off plane at about 2800 rpm which is about 20mph.
Is there a solution to this?
Leg is off. Pressure test didn't reveal any leaks?????
Neither did the vacuum test. hmmmm.
Tech is going to drop the lower housing off and check the o-ring. with 235 hours, i think i'll put a new water pump in; since everything is all apart.
Anything else i should do while i'm in there?
