    Operating Costs---430

A good rule of thumb is this, take the value of your boat, times that by 10% and you will get a good idea of your annual total costs out the door excluding payments and insurance... that has worked for me every time. On my 390MY... I am running about 20k a year

    480 Motor yacht

On the 390's... and I believe that is also the case with the 480... that is also where the water distribution system is.. it should be on the aft wall aft of the washer and dryer.... what is happening with your hoses, is that they are a factory fit size... and are starting to leak around the...

don't want to run generator all day and night.

I do the same thing... run the Gen all the time... loaded up of course. Was advised by a Onan rep that the more you run it, the longer your Gen will last. In fact they recently had a boat come in that had 76000 hours on the Gen.... first overhaul....... so that is like 3166 days or 8.7 years...

    Mullet Key Bayou

Hey Griff4... .I use the iPad Navtronics map which is always up to date... in addition they just added auto routing. This in combination with Google maps gives you really good overview.

    Mullet Key Bayou

Thanks for the information Boxerdogty.... I plan on doing just that coming in from the east. I draft 3.5-4 feet so I don't have much of a choice. One of the tips I heard was perhaps come in at low tide so that way you know where the shallow spots are. When you were there, what were the...

    Mullet Key Bayou

Hello everyone.... was wondering if anyone had experience anchoring at Mullet Key Bayou just north of the Tampa Bay Inlet? I have a 390MY and was thinking of anchoring there for a couple of days with our small 15 foot whaler in tow... any feedback would be greatly appreciated other than what is...

    Tender options

bblack.... actually it is not that hard. The nylon rope from the Y to the tender is very thin, about 1/4-1/2 inch in thickness and really does not tangle.... the ticker rope about 2 inches thick from the corners of the stern to the middle of the Y is simply too large to tangle. For our boat I...

    Tender options

When you tow you need a professional towing rig and re-inforced cleats (don't try to go cheap... plus your insurance company won't allow it). When we tow which is almost all of the time, our boat is about 150 feet behind our boat. The engine has to be in the water (which causes no issues)...

    Tender options

Tow it... that is what we do... I would go with the 15 foot... that is also what we use... larger and much more usable. If you are looking, purchase new, they have fantastic warranty programs.. ours is covered for 5 year... just my two cents

Yeah, yeah, yeah... it looks like a sneaker

What you will find is in the summer you will need a couple of fans on the Bridge... the two largest A/C vents are behind the helm...

Yeah, yeah, yeah... it looks like a sneaker

We have a 390MY... and we love it. Have gone through some very rough seas... following seas... quartering seas... never had a problem. Love the look, love the room... we always get lots of comments... and people wanting to come aboard. We did not need the 3rd bedroom, or we would have gone...

    390MY davit system

A friend of mine has one on his 390 MY and it really limits you from running anywhere between 1000 rpm and 2100 rpm because of the bow wave hits the system. I did a lot of research into this and chose to spend 16.8k on a nice new 15 foot Boston Whaler Super Sport (with a 5 year bow to stern...

    390 MY Wing Window

Hey guys... with the windshield you have to turn on your cockpit heat (if up north) and open your defroster (way up front vent in front of cockpit by the window). Regarding the side windows, what seems to be happening is corrosion is starting to creek into the frames. I just had mine all taken...

390MY owner that is pulling a new Boston Whaler as our tender with a quick question

Re: 390MY owner that is pulling a new Boston Whaler as our tender with a quick questi Hey Dan, What was done, the two rear cleats were removed. The one on the starboard side bolts can be easily removed by the access behind the master head, just open up the door and look up. The other one...
