thought i'd close this one out. we did the pressure test and there was a very small crack in the riser. replaced the riser and that engine is running better than ever!

well - he feels because there is evidence of prior overheating that it is likely to be the head gasket. we'll also do some pressure testing.

i have not run it yet - was more concerned with causing bamage until i get to the bottom of the issue.
i'll take some pics of the plugs and post what if find out next. the consensus seems to be compression testing.
i have 8.1 mercruisers. the stbd engine has been running increasingly rough lately and has only gotten about 3200 rpm for a while so i had the plugs replaced because the mechanic had stated before they were the wrong ones anyway. he came back and said 3 and 5 were water fouled. i dont know...

what state do you leave your electrical panel in? i de-energize the battery solenoids and leave the AC converter on along with the fridge and a/c in de-humidify mode - on shore power, og course.

i know this is an old post but i recently bought the smart mini.
any advice on the install? Did you use the wires from the existing display in place or run new wiring?
how does the mid-cabin couch turn into a bed? when i bought my 360, i had basically no turn-over...just a 'keys are in it...congratulations' phone call from the broker so several of the usability features such as that are a mystery to us. same with converting the aft seating to a sun lounger...

5oclocksw, did you have any other indicators of a problem? my stbd transmission is louder than the port and there's a vibration but i also have a cylinder that doesn't quite fire under load (waiting for a fuel injector and plug)...
was going to see if that covered it.
