So, spent hours looking for the "Y" valve to choose between dockside or macerator pump out. Though the owners manual says it has one, I don't believe them. There is a "T" fitting just above the macerator. To dockside pump out or macerator to through hull. No valve other than the through hull...

    Y Valve

I spent 4 hours pulling panels, aft berth panels, side panels cabinets and more looking for a y valve that doesn't exist? nice. problem is........won't pump out dockside, and won't discharge through hull. Macerator makes pumping noise, through hull valve is open, ....nothing. When trying...

ok. So now my starboard voltage gauge is showing about 10 to 11 volts when running. Port is 12.5 and the triple bank charger seems to be charging all 3 batteries fine. Why is the alternator not charging the starboard side?

Ok. So, I'm installing a windlass. I have a pair of 1 awg wires, ran them from the chain locker over the bulkhead, along the starboard side of the v-birth, through the closet, behind the storage area in the dining area, and then got stuck. I can't find a way to get the wires to either the...

I have 3 batteries total. one on the port side, two on the starboard. 1995 290 Sundancer. Which is house? which is port motor, which is starboard motor? My port motor battery is going dead. Out for a cruise, I can watch the port gauge slowly go from 12v to 11v to 10v and then not enough to crank...

which is the port battery? I have one on the port side behind the generator, and two on starboard. Which one powers the port engine? All electronics work fine except port engine. Will start with emergency switch, but then port gauge slowly drops until....not enough power to crank port engine.

So, My voltage gauges read differently. The port gauge has dropped over the last week from 12v to 11v and now at 10v. The starboard is always above 12 and usually about 13+ when cruising. Both engines start fine....no slow cranking. My 20 amp charger never seems to be running. It is old and...

Large metal blocks in aft cabin?

Wow. That looks just like my boat. Yes. directly under the transom door. And thanks for the specific thread to mid 90's 290's.

Large metal blocks in aft cabin?

I just found them yesterday. They are lead or zinc colored....silverish. Not anything that will rust, as they look old but not rusted. My guess is they counterweight the genset on the port side.

Large metal blocks in aft cabin?

I just purchased a '95 290 Sundancer. I found two LARGE (2 ft. long) metal blocks in the aft cabin, in a storage locker on the starboard side. What are they? Maybe for ballast? They weigh about 100 pounds apiece. What type of metal are they?
