Turns out the "Motherboard" or circuit board was bad and needed to be replaced. Cost approx $400.00. Everything is working fine after replacement.

M westerbeke generator was only putting out 23 volts and nothing was working due to the low power output. I had servicce done to this unit and the technician told me that the windings were bad on #7 and #8. He moved wires to #6 and everything worked. Can anyone explain what was wrong and why...

I have a Westerbeke too. This past weekend the output would only reach 40-50 volts, so nothing was working. I have not had time to look into it any further. I was just wandering if this sounds familiar.

I have not looked extensively. Just want realiable radio that fits the current cut out in dash.

My radio has stopped working and I am looking for a replacement that will fit in the same location on the dash. Can you recommend the best brand, most reasonable in price, and the unit that will install the easiest. That sounds easy, doesn't it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Thanks for the advice. The radio has bad output on two speaker channels. The other two channels work ok. The speaker is distorted on the two bad outputs. So the reset button is not an issue with this radio. I have tried to switch the speakers and they all work fine on the good channels....

I recently purchased a 2001 310 Sundancer. The radio XMD1 is not working. I want to replace this unit with a newer model from Clarion. Maybe a CMD4 or something newer. Does anyone know if I do this, if the new unit will work with the 6 disc CD changer XM665 and the wired remote M101RC?
