I have a 2004 Sundancer with 6.2's, and Bravo III outdrives. I've one H20 sensor reading approximately 1.1 at idle while the other reads 13.5. If I swap sensors from one engine to the other, the sensor will read in the 1.1 range. My understanding is at idle, the 1.0 number is good. I've...
Anyone having success buying these $15-$30 water pressure sensors on EBAY? Some appear to have the blue seal, made in USA, and 3 year warranty. Far cheaper than the $100+ units from the marine dealers. Thanks in advance for any enlightenment.
Thanks for the replies I did try adjusting the dogs. I think mine only takes a straight screwdriver, as I didn't seen a nut where a 7/16 wrench would be used. I'm about two days away from launch and will check things out further at that time. Perhaps cleaning the gasket may help as well. And...
I have a 2004 300 Dancer with a leaking portlight gasket. The screens snap into place once the portlight is opened.
The screws holding the frames are on the inside. I removed the screws expecting the inside frame, with window, to come out, but the frame appears to be very secure yet. Do the...
You say with the windshield and side curtains on, and no aft curtain is "asking for it". The tag attached on the aft curtain by the company who makes these for Sea Ray warns one should not travel with the aft curtain up - how does this figure then?
I think you're correct about this being a universal problem. After my incident, several of my dock neighbors indicated they were going to install CO dectectors in their cockpits, however, I don't think many did. I'm going to ask one of them to take my dectector and see what they experience...
Yes, with front and side curtains down, I still get the cockpit CO sounding. This isn't everytime I boat, and I'm thinking the wind direction has a impact on it at times as well.
I've posted this before, but have never received much feedback. Sea Ray claims no knowledge of incidents. Two years ago this coming Labor Day, my first mate and I experienced carbon monoxide poisoning. Thank the Lord we were boating with a group, as we both passed out and others had to rescue...
I bought a bank repo, 2004 300 Sundancer that was missing some equipment when I purchased it, and being such, I was unable to get information from the previous owner. There are mounting holes on the arch that I think were for a GPS antenna. When I go through the SmartCraft screens, I get the...
I have a 2004 300 Dancer. My SmartCraft gauges appear to be working with the exception of the gas gauges. These have not worked properly since purchasing the boat last season. The recommended procedure to reset these gauges is to start with empty tanks (I have two 85 gallon tanks) and begin...
Brian - the manuals I obtained are hard-copy. The mercruiser manual was the real thing my boat neighbor had two of, guess he got one for each engine? Some manuals I got online other than merc, and some I ran thru the copy machine (at work). I haven't looked real hard for the jumper yet, but...
I found it on a boat broker's website out of Stillwater Mn., lucky for me it was in my hometown, so I could check it out w/out a lot of travel. Be careful if buying one that's been sitting a while. Mine was dry-docked one year and I had some challenges with old fuel. Plus, as previously...
I think I have all the manuals I need now, I have a friend in my marina with the identical boat (forgot to ask him about the stiff shifter), but he was nice enough to let me make copies of his manuals, that I didn't previously pull off the internet, plus he gave me the Mercruiser manual that...
