I've used Pledge 2x moisturizers on my isinglass, gauges and upholstery for years. My gauges are still shiny, original upholstery in nice shape and glass still flexible and clear. Jeff

On my 290, I have 2 as well. One is mounted higher than the other. Lower one works off the switch at the helm and the float. The higher one works off the float switch and sounds an alarm as well. HTH's Jeff

Before my 290, I had a Larson 270 with a VP 7.4. All of a sudden, I couldn't get it past 3000rpm in gear on the water. Turns out one of the exhaust flappers came loose and was stuck in the Y-pipe. Just a thought! Jeff

I bought a stencil kit from Walmart and used a fat sharpie! It will last a year or so before fading in the Florida sun and is easy to touch up. Jeff

Fuel injection or carb? If carb, maybe choke is sticking closed? Only check valve I'm aware of on the carburetor engine is in line right after pickup coming out of fuel tank. Need more info. Jeff
