We also tow our 240DA with Ram 1500 4x4 Hemi. No problems at all.

I replaced mine with the MercMonitor. Works great, lots of options, and you can change gauge color. I think it was around $300. It's plug and play.

Ankrummg, I had the same problem with my 2008. I was replacing all the hose on the engine and just removed the heater hoses to clean up the engine room and plugged the ports. Connecting them together as suggested would also work. Now we just don't have hot water unless we are plugged in to...
