Sorry for the delay in posting. Thanks for the thoughts. The dual battery set up with a switch seems like the way to go. The 190 does not come standard with a master switch that can be turned on and off. I'm just going to throw a fresh battery in there and carry a jumper with me for this...
Folks, my first problem with my Sea Ray....Went to start the boat this weekend and had a dead battery, or at least the boat wouldn't turn over. The boat had been sitting for two weeks, but that's nothing we hadn't done many times last season and even a few times this season. Nothing was left...
I like the red also....If I move up from the 190, I'm jump to a 230. Not worth taking the money hit for two extra feet. The "lunch" on the beach was a little much in the video.... :-)

Ok, gotta...For better or worse, I bought my 190 as a little bit of an impulse buy and just took what the dealer had in the showroom. I never really have looked at all the options I could have gotten. Probably good I haven't looked at the list available :-)
I've just been looking at the...
Short term I think I'm going with the adapter to the 12 volt like Don mentioned....
Glenn, Thanks for the pics. Next to the switch they installed for your tower, is that a radio control set up you have installed? I don't have anything to the left on my console....
On the right dash with the ignition key, blower switch, nav lights, etc, is there an unused accessary switch available?
Wondering if I can hard wire the Garmin GPS into a switch or are devices hard wired to just turn on when the engine starts?
One of the disadvantages of keeping the boat in...
ok, thanks all....
My main purpose for adding the Garmin is for navagation and the charts, etc...So no transducer needed, since the 190 Sport already has a depth finder. Sounds like the device can be powered by the 12 volt or hard wired in. I'll assume the gps antenna is built into the...
Quick follow-up question on this thread....
With my 190 Sport, I think I'm going to follow Don's set up with the short 3 inch poll. My windshield support rod doesn't twist. I'm not sure why mine doesn't, but Don mentioned his does...
Rookie questions...What do I need other than the Garman...
The replicas are coming to the Maritime Museum in St Michaels, MD in May sometime. I plan on checking them out....
If anyone wants a tour of my 190 let me know.....I offer extensive tour and allow full access to all 19 ft of my boat...

Thanks everyone. Left it is. I just got the boat dropped in this weekend from the dealer. I should have posted the question before getting it, so they could have added a second battery. I do need to improve my DIY skills on the boat, but I don't think I'll tackle this as my first project...
