Many thanks - will do. Did you find that they made the door slide well, or did you have any other problems with the tracks ?

260DA sliding door - ball not trucks

Hi, My 260DA has the classic sliding door problem. However, when I look along the lower track I can see that the door is sliding on a ball (around 0.5 inch diameter). The ball seems to move fairly freely in the track i.e. it does not support a fixed part of the door like a fixed truck. This...

    Can horns be repaired ?

My horn has got so weak that it sounds like a bleating sheep. Can these things be taken apart and repaired, or should I bite the bullet and replace (you can tell I enjoy repairing things !). D

Bilge pump - how dry should the bilge be ?

Hi, On my 260DA I have about an inch of water in the bilge. The bilge pump doesn't seem to get any more out. Is this normal ? When I spray more water into the bilge it starts to pump out some as the depth increases, but then it stops emptying. Opening up the pump the impeller looks a little worn...

    Winlass controls

I have a 1998 260DA and when I bought it recently my foot switches worked while the helm switches were all dead. After a bit of investigation it turned out that the power to the windlass is all controlled by a 'latching solenoid' in the engine area (on the starboard wall). This is turned on /...

    260DA Stove cutout depth

That's exactly what happened with mine. I saw you can return them to Kenyon and they will service them (replacing seals etc) for $60 or $100 I think. The problem is, living in Australia, the return postage would likely cost more than a new stove !

Carbon Monoxide detector - too old to rely on ?

My 260DA is now over 10 years old, and still has the factory original CO detector in the main cabin. Does anyone know how long they last ? I have put a battery one in the rear double berth just to be safe, but it would be good to know if the other is still useable. Thanks. David

    Which transducer on a 1998 260DA

I bought a Norcross Hawkeye D10D. It fits nicely into the dash hole above the steering wheel, and works just great. The connector was different, so I cut the old connector from the existing transducer and put a compatible connector on.

    260DA Stove cutout depth

I managed to get to the boat to measure it. All measurements are in centimetres: It is 33.5 wide, 32 from front to back, and 13.5 deep. I have been looking around for a replacement stove - it appears that they don't make gas ones any more. There is a Kenyon alcohol stove which is smaller (but...

    260DA Stove cutout depth

Hi, Does anyone know the depth of the stove cutout on a 1999 260DA ? The original stove (Kenyon Kiss) has died, and I am thinking of replacing with an Origo 2000 alcohol model (which is 15cm deep). Many thanks David

    Which transducer on a 1998 260DA

Hi, I just bought a 260DA from 1998, with a factory standard depth transducer but no head unit. Can anyone let me know any example makes / models of digital depth sounder which are compatible with the transducer (or even what type of transducer they installed back then). Many thanks DC
