    Dont know where your impellers are mounted but they are ususally attached to the engine well above the water line, you can replaice them with the seacock open and the water will not rush in, then sort your seacock next time the boat is out

    similar problem in Ireland lots of dam rain, its probably full of water, loosen the screws on the bulb end and the water should come out, if not take of the cover and dry the diaphragm

    Did the job yesterday and all went fine, stuck an old sheet under the drive to catch any falling parts and tied the spanner to the hand rail, saved a few bucks and learned a lot, thanks for all your tips,, David
