The answer is "yes" and "no." "Yes" in that diesel sold from marinas should be dyed (offroad) diesel that your marina purchased without paying the federal highway tax; however, it is my understanding that the wholesale price for diesel is approximately $1 more than gas in Ohio (Cleveland) right...
Hi everybody!!
Starting to make my spring maintenance list and want to address a problem I am having with my starboard throttle - it has little or no friction the first 15 degrees or so from idle such that I have to hold it in place or it falls back down (and the engine goes back to idle)...
If I had both 1/2 and 5/8, I would use the 5/8 as my travel lines. I base this comment on my experience that it is sometimes difficult to find proper, non-chafing mooring points while traveling (I chaffed nearly through two of seven lines during a squal on Lake Erie - tiny city dock was only...

I won't selly you mine, but I'd be happy to ship it to you over the winter so you can make one or have one made (I wish I would have read this last week as my wife just drove to NYC and back and could have hand carried it for you).
Please let me know - my new cell is 216.973.6570...
Here is a sobering thought - round trip Cleveland to Put-In-Bay (60 miles each way) at 3800 rpm (24 MPH) with 8 souls and 1/2 water -- Gen IV 7.4s (carb) = something like 260 gal. But it sure was a lot of fun!!

Great to hear from you, too. I cut the shrink last week but won't go in for 2 weeks or so - I have to make a 130 mile trip to Cleveland as soon as I splash (we moved over the winter) and there is still ice on the lake. That, and I am taking few of a number of minor annoyances (weak...

How the heck are you? Did my wife ever send you $$ for that table leg? If not, let me know and I will make good.
Anyway, I noticed one of these on e-bay -- looks like what you are talking about. Hope it helps.

Hello all -
It's that time again - much ado about boats! My immediate project is to replace the rear seal on my starboard engine (7.4 with hurth v drive). I'm fine with the part about replacing the seal - I would really like some advice with respect to removing the transmission to get to...
I'm scheduled to cut my 370 open next week - if you send your e-mail address to me at reeccee at yahoo dot com I will try to get you a photo or 2 with measurements. I've used the pull-out several times with no complaints (well, I've never used it and my guests are usually complaining about...
Thanks for the input. The non-standard engine issue is a good point...but I'm really sold on the Crusader product for my own use and I would hope a thoughtful buyer would appreciate them as well. Given the late date, this is a "next year" project so I will let you all know how it goes...

I have the same problem and was quoted an astronomical amount to replace the cylinder. The guy thought the new one would last 5 years or so - that means $50 per year weigh followed by another astronomical replacement. Given all of that, I am leaning heavily on going to the new...

You make a good point - a friend of mine would like to convert existing blocks to EFI but I am hesitant as I want to make sure setup is proper for marine applications. If anyone knows anything about this, I'm all ears.
Oh, yes, I am sure they are Hurth.
Thanks! Please keep the...
