I stopped at town hall yesterday and had VERY limited time to do it and finally got an answer that "port jeff" has nothing to do with the shore line, I needed to go to Brook Haven town hall! So I bailed out and I'l try again. Sorry guys. I should have just called.
Thanks Very much Brad!
I'll on Long Island tomorrow for work so I'll swing in and find out what Danford's is getting so we can post it. I might reach out to the harbor master if I have time to see if they have any idea on the other spots you marked.
Great write up Brad! Thanks for laying it out there and the map. Hey Brad if your dinking into town where is a good spot to beach or dock a dinghy at? I've heard conflicting reports on it.
No they made that "the cove" area moorings for the area residents with permits only. The constable patrols it all throughout the day. We got tossed a few years ago but it was before season so they weren't ticketing. I'd stay in the arrow areas with in reason, I'm sure it will be a good time and...
There is also the spot on the left as you enter the mouth before the "Cove" / Pit / Pirates cove where the old falling down pilings are. Don't get caught in the "Cove"/ pit with the dunes as its a large fine.
One over heated due to a heat exchanger, then the other lost oil pressure and puked 2 weeks after we replaced the first one.
Thanks on the sale, Yes SHE IS GONE! We traded her in on a Formula so I'm sure at some point someone will have a great starter boat for themselves.
Sorry to say but go with both, JUST to be safe. Typically if your "local" motor dealer is viable you can start a relationship with them and they will treat you right long term
