    Official 240 Sundancer Thread

TV We just picked up a 15" HDTV with DVD from Sams. The base fits right on the shelf next to the microwave and we even ran the antenna out the window to pick up a high def channel when we were tired of the single dvd we brought :smt021 . We kept it in the box on the way out, unpacked it (2...

    Thanks for the help, folks.

Great Story What a great story. My first fill up with the brand new boat was on the dealer, so I let the tank go down too low and got caught in high winds, and then there was the pontoon boat that just had to stay on the left side coming out of the Marina that forced us to go outside the safe...

    Boat Lift Trouble

Update Boat Lift Company has been great, can't say the same for the boat lift manufacturer. The boat lift company responded in 30 minutes and had guys in the water, dismantling and lowering the boat carefully back in the water. It was a dangerous operation. Scared the crap out of my wife...

    Boat Lift Trouble

Here is my boat lift and an example of a boat lift company that doesn't know the difference between a cable's breaking strength and Safe Working Load (20% of Breaking Strength). Take my advice when you buy a boat lift, insist on SWL cable strength.

Is the cabin supposed to be sealed from the engine bilge?

Re: Is the cabin supposed to be sealed from the engine bilge Thanks, I checked it out and there are some holes where the silicon job wasn't done well and left some finger size spaces into the engine compartment.

Yes, I pulled it and you are correct, except in my case where they slopped the silicon around and failed to seal it properly, which is easy to fix. Thank you very much for the help.

Is the cabin supposed to be sealed from the engine bilge?

Is the cabin sealed from engine compartment on your boat? We have a 2007 240 DA and the air conditioner intake is not sealed to the cabin and sucks in air from the engine bilge and circulates it into the cabin. The dealer is checking on this, but I just wanted you opinions on it.

    Shower Sump Bilge?

We are pretty sure our 240 DA air-conditioner condensation drain doesn't drain and overflows into the cabin floor and soaks the carpet

No Way! My air intake unit is not sealed at all, and sucks air in from the engine bilge and then into the cabin. I have about 2 inches between the opening (air return) and the actual air return on the system, so it sucks in bilge air. If this is supposed to be sealed, then the dealer has some...

    meaingfull chatter on tampa bay

Nice Thread Great thread, always wondering what to do when the storm hits. We are on a canal in New Port Richey and the only advice I have gotten so far is to get the boat up as high as possible. I can just get it up above the top of the sea wall, so if the water goes much higher than...

    Official 240 Sundancer Thread

Hey Dude, We just bought a 2007 240 DA and we just got back a few hours ago from another great day of boating. We had pretty rough 2-4 foot seas and wind but we just took it easy and had a great day snorkeling, boat watching, and sightseeing. Ours didn't have the exact same set up, my...

Re: Electrical Question Om mine, the two rocker switches on the wall as you describe control different berth lights. If it is the step light, that would be under the steps where the waste basket is located.
