    Sounds like low quality stainless steel bolt on products. Some of the older boats have better quality stainless products.

    Lose the risers. Use a one piece SS Manifold riser sets.Dump that extra weight of cast iron.Your motors are good as long as you dont let old manifolds fail. Good Luck.

    I spoke with the factory about someone looking for a pair of 5.0 SS manifolds and did not leave a call back number?The factory may give an additional discount for Club Sea Ray members.The factory likes to call You, to get as much info about your boat. Thanks for the feedback.

    How long to you typically run(average) to your favorite destination?

    When we are at the lake it takes about 20 min to get to our cabin. But we run back and fourth all day long, picking friends up and dropping them off.

    Newbie melts the freeze plugs out of the manifold, got time for a laugh.....

    Manifold failure is the #1 reason for costly motor repairs.I just looked at a another boat yesterday ,and he lost one engine because his cast iron rusted a hole inside the manifold.What a bummer.
