Hey all - an update on loss of boost on starboard engine. Had turbo off and checked, all ok. When mechanic was re-fitting he said "I think I found your problem" - see image attached. Turns out when I had the AC removed and serviced last time, the previous mechanics failed to install the bottom...

UPDATE: Removed starboard turbo and wastegate valve was stuck partially open. Sent turbo off for repair, hopefully this sorts the issue.

Hey - can you send photo of the front of your engines (stbrd) where the exhaust is? I will send a photo of mine. We didn't need to remove any exhaust piping.

Hi - didn't do it myself but watch the mechanic. He want around the front of the engine over the black water tank (around exhaust pipe)

Bingo - this had partially slipped under the clamp and had a small gap. Also wastegate hose was a little loose. Tightened these and we have boost. ALTHOUGH - the boost on this engine comes up a lot slower than the port, boost gauge shows approx 5-7psi less (you can see it on the rev counter when...

Would that cause the turbo to not spin up? I cannot get above 1,600rpm on that side.

Hey @Blown284 You mention you are runnning a bridle to stop the swinging at anchor? Have you got a diagram on how you have this setup? I cannot believe how much our boat swings from side to side in even the slightest breeze. Thanks

Just an update - both shaft seals replaced. Stbrd was shot and Port fell apart as it was coming out (image attached port top stbrd bottom) She goes back in the water tomorrow and we'll check the raw water is flowing properly at idle. Fingers crossed. Thanks

Cheers Ryan, theres some big pipes at the bottom of the boat for raw water intake. Not sure the pressure will be enough.
