sorry i misled you guys, the quick release pin has been replaced with a nut and bolt (the mind boggles)which is preventing me from getting access to the engine bay,somi have to try get an allen key to hopefully undo the nut and bolt

yes cheers for the reply i can get the access hatch to open as the pin has been replaced with a nut and bolt, i can lift the hatch by hand about four inches then it will not budge so i assume the nut and bolt are stopping me opening the hatch

i spent all day at it and realised that some brainiac replaced the pin with a nut and bolt ...wow
