    Florida

Ok, I’m getting older (I hope) and hate this Ohio cold so I’m going to take my 30’ Weekender to Florida. Plan on leaving it in the St. John’s River December through March and then on the hard the other eight months during the summer (understand it’s hot & humid there then). Won’t have electric...

1978 srv 300 weekender interior and exterior ideas

Looks Great, Good Luck! It has one of the best ever hull designs; mine will stay on plane down to 12-13 mph. Chuck

1979 Weekender 300 what's your top speed and RPM?

Thanks Ken - Good thought. I have an older SW add-on tach which isn't currently being used, would be interesting to see what that shows? Too bad we live where there's winter! (Or maybe I can find a used hand held?) Chuck (But, when on cruise I set both engines about 2900 and she handles / runs...

1979 Weekender 300 what's your top speed and RPM?

I've got Chrysler 360s with almost 1500 hours. Both sound & run fine although port engine has always seemed "slow". I did a WOT run at the end of this year; Port = 3,500 RPM / Starboard = 4,000 RPM / GPS Speed = 30 MPH. Usually cruise about 2900 RPM which equals about 22 - 23 MPH. I know, I've...

How far do you have to drive to your boat?

85 Miles, but no good way to get there - over an hour an a half. Got to admit, it seems to get longer at the end of summer, but when we get home I'd turn around and go back to Where's Waldo. (Waldo to Port Clinton, Ohio)

    1976 30ft searay weekender , moisture

Velooce is correct; if an inboard, all the transom does is keep water out. But if I/O, more investigation is required!

Chicago to Port Clinton – June 2011

Plan to take Where’s Waldo (or better said, Where’s Waldo hopefully will take us) from Chicago to Port Clinton, Ohio. (A part of the Great Loop, but in reverse direction.) Plan to trailer Where’s Waldo from where else but Waldo, Ohio to Chicago. Would like to stay in Chicago for a couple of...

    Where’s Waldo’s new Upholstery / Interior

I'll take some more. They just did a fabulous job on the headliner, molding the vinyl around contours. Chuck

    Where’s Waldo’s new Upholstery / Interior

Wow - My next boat will be a 39'. But that means a different "life style", i.e., the 30' is still trailerable while the 39 moves by water only. (4-5 years yet.) Thanks for the reply - Chuck

    Where’s Waldo’s new Upholstery / Interior

Where’s Waldo (my 1978 30’ Weekender) spent about two months at A & M Interiors, Ashland, Ohio this fall. The old girl had the original factory gold colored carpet glued in the cabin. The foam in the seats and bunk was quite sad (ooh my aching back the morning after). The helm and passengers...
