CAT 3116 engines.
My total season average this year is 13.7 gph. with running 2300rpm about 60% of the time and 1100 rpm the balance, approx 62 total hours. Last year average was 17.5 gph over 53 hrs. We spent less time running at low rpm and more short trips.
Thanks my3sons. It looks like you may have a different cable configuration. My boat is a 98. I have two red and two black cables. Each with two terminal connectors. Would it matter if the black and red were crossed between the engines? I am thinking the blacks should all be common.
Does anyone have a photo of the battery terminal cabel connections. The battery caps are under the cables and difficult to remove. It seems that maybe the PO got things switched. Thanks.
Great write up. Thank you. I did't realize you changed the whole pump. Was it difficult to replace the pumps. I have the Cat 3116s. The starboard side should be a snap. Port side is a bear to get to.
Are the SMX impellers much different than the Sherwood impellers? I can't seem to find any information about them on the WWW. I would love to get 3 years between impeller changes.
I just did mine. The outside piece is the part that seals and makes waterproof. Remove the 4 screws and start trying to get a knife between the ring and the hull. Mine was stuck pretty bad. Took about an hour to get it off.
Once you remove the caulking, you should see low profile brass nuts...
Hi Guys. I'm from Sandusky, OH.
Are you talking about Metro Beach Park? I am looking for a long weekend getaway. Any recommendations for a transient marina?
Thanks.

Will someone help me please?
I have been trying the find the post listed above. I have clicked on the link and it gives me an error. I tried looking for it in fwebster's posts, and I also searched the topic. No luck for me.
Thank you for the help.
