Some third party tower companies warn AGAINST towing tubes from your tower. The reason is that non-factory towers do not necessarily attach to reinforced areas of the hull. A Factory Tower (in theory) would be designed to tie into "hard points" in the hull that were prepared for tower mounts...
If you're worried about the tow hook in the middle, you can use one of these to distribute the load to the two loops on the back corners:

This device theoretically also keeps...
The link above shows the relocated oil filter upside down. Would this reduce the engines access to oil during startup while the filter refills with oil? This assumes that it drains out when you turn the engine off.
Google, resurrector of old threads (still a relevant discussion though)
Ok, I just measured 19' 8" from the prop to the tip of the folded trailer. It's angled so the trailer tip is about a foot away from one side of the garage door. The drive is trimmed down within about thee inches of the floor and turned all the way to one side.
This is in a 1 car garage, so...
Actually, I'm pretty sure the trailer is shorter than the boat. The out-drive hangs farther out the back than the folded trailer hangs out the front. See my second photo above for the difference in distance to the garage door for the bow and trailer.
I'm honestly not positive I've got two inches to spare, but with a two car garage you've got width to move the pointy part (Bow) farther over.
It's hard to get an accurate length with a tape measure, but I'll give it a try tonight and post my results.
Another trick is to use colored brake fluid. You can alternate between the Blue and Amber fluids so you know when you've gotten all the old fluid out.

I suspect the starter is going out. I don't know if the solenoid is integral to the starter on Mercruiser, but most modern cars it is. I had that problem on my MG 30 years ago and it was the starter solenoid.
Not a definitive answer, but somewhere to look.
If you've got small kids look...
Well, I got back yesterday, it was a blast. The Lake House we found was right on the water just around the bend from the Dam. Huge deck over the water with our own private slip underneath.
It was a nice cruise up to Stumpy's, a new restaurant on the water. Another bend in the lake away and...
I'm keeping my 185 sport in a 1 car garage that's only 19' 6" deep. It's a 2004 though and doesn't have the extended swim platform.
Tight fit, but turning the steering wheel hard over and trimming down, in addition to the swing away trailer and It fits.
I've seen bow filler cushions often on EBay. Is this what you're looking for?

I'd love to find something like this for a 2004, but I've only seen them for the current...
I'm headed to Granbury next month. We've found a condo with a slip out back and will be on the lake most of the week. Any suggestions, ideas for things to do out of the water?
My kids are 8, 6, and 2.
Thanks.
