Both, sides are so you can see that the water pumps are working, but under way, most exits underneath.

I have a 99 310 DA and love it. V drives equal less maintenance, better handling.

I have a 310 and we love it. V-drives are so much more hassle free. No leaking bellows, less maintenance too. They do give up a little speed, but the handling makes up for it.

If the raw water pump impeller was replaced, I would hope they checked the trans cooler inlet for the old impeller fins and removed them. This could cause a blockage of cooling water also.

You could always get the one without the hole, and if you find, you need a hole, just lineup the gaskets and cut 1 in.

I had a machine shop make me a Crow's foot with a 3/4 inch drive. Then you can use a 3/4 ratchet and extension to snug them up

Thanks for your help, I finally found The bulb. And I tested it at home and it works here so it must be a switch or wiring issue on the boat.
