    Miami Boat show

Biggest boat show in the country. I went 10+ years ago with my best boating buddy, spent 2 days there and never saw it all. It was awesome. I'd love to go again.

    Searay bashing?

Thanks for all the great input. The SRs I've looked at (late '80s-'90s boats) seem to be very stout, well built boats. To me, even the styling of these boats seemed to be ahead of their time. Unfortunately, all boats of this era and size were very heavy, underpowered, and not very fuel efficient...

    Searay bashing?

OK, I'm new here but not new to boating. I've been away from serious boating for several years now but I'm thinking about getting another small cruiser (34-37'). I've been looking at older sedans and have run across several nice Searays in my price range. From what I've seen, I'd certainly...

Lack of value for our boat in todays econonmy is hard to swallow...

The hard reality is that we are in tough economic times, unemployment is up and people just aren't spending money. The value of toys (things people want but don't need) has dropped like a rock. So many boat owners think there boats are worth $XXX but when the time comes to sell, they wonder why...

    Anyone own a '88-89 SR 345 Sedan?

I've heard similar comments about low speed handling but I'm sure with some practice I can master that. I would think a little more throttle might overcome slow responding prop thrust at slow speeds...

    Anyone own a '88-89 SR 345 Sedan?

Ron, thanks for the reply. The one I'm looking at is listed at $45k, but like most boats in my area, nothing is selling so I suspect it could be bought somewhere in the mid $30s. You didn't say whether you're happy with it or not. How is performance with the pocket props?

    Anyone own a '88-89 SR 345 Sedan?

Hello, I'm new to this site, and joined in because I'm about to buy another boat and want some input from others that might be familiar with this model. It's an '88 345 Sedan, twin Mercruiser 7.4s, genset, heat/AC, dual helms, about 800 hrs. It's been in a covered shed, the gelcoat is in great...
