Needing some help. I lost both alternators on my 88 300 Sundancer a few weeks ago. I was hoping to replace them next weekend and went to order them but there seems to be numerous options out there. Can anyone confirm what alternators they have? I have twin Merc 350 with alpha drives. The list I...

That’s good to hear. I am away from my boat for 2 weeks so I had a local mechanic throw a new float switch in mine today. Bad news is he said the aft bilge pump bearings are going out and it will need replaced soon. I believe it is the factory one. It’s mounted up high on the stand side of the...

If I remember right there is a panel of circuit breakers and one of them is labeled bilge pump. The panel is on the stbd side of the bilge just fwd of the batteries. My actual pump is up high bolted to the transom on the stbd side. Only the switch and pickup tube are all the way at the bottom of...

That’s what I figured. How in the world did you get down in between the engines? I can’t get my fat head in between the engines.

My neighbor called and said a motor was running. Found my aft bilge pump float stuck on. Pushed it down and the pump shut off. Cleaned debris from the bilge area. Pump turns on with the helm switch but no longer turns on with the float switch. Is there a fuse or anything else to check on the...

Where's the boating on the Lake of the Ozarks Thread?

I wish we were. I have to work at church all weekend. We will be back for harbor hop then pretty much full time after that for the summer once the kids get out for the summer.

Where's the boating on the Lake of the Ozarks Thread?

Last weekend it was almost 80 at LOTO. We had the boat, sea doo, and paddle boat out. The kids even got on the lily pad. I was sad that we missed this weekend until I saw the weather. Snow on my deck camera this morning. Will be 80 again in a few days though.

Thanks for the replies. I thought about the safety hook just after i posted this. It has been decades since my last boat that had a windlass. Come to think of it that old boat did not have a safety hook. Guess i got lucky on that boat! Guess its not such a big deal since i will have to release...

Took the boat out this weekend. It had a fluke style anchor and when you try to let it down it would not start it’s way down the roller unless you went up and gave it a shove. I went out and bought a delta anchor thinking the curve in the shank would help it start going down on its own. The...

So you are saying that the lower stripe on the bow just above the walkway that runs from the side windows to near the bow are 3 inches?
