I did switch gauges and the same happens on the port side. The gauge went almost 2 months after the oil change. Connections are this....
Port Side = 4 purple wires lower left post, 2 blue wires lower right post and 2 black wires in center
Stbd Side = 2 purple wires lower left...

As soon as I start the engine, it goes to 80 and stays there (at all speeds) until I shut down. The oil was changed on April 22nd (both engines) 10-40 oil. Oil level is full on both dipsticks. Oil looks clean. Stbd. engine shows 40 psi at idle and 42 at high speeds.

My 12 year old port side oil pressure gauge went to ZERO. I replaced it with a new gauge that went to 80 psi when I started the engine. So, I replaced the Sender and it still went to 80 psi. I decided to switch gauges with the stardboard gauge and it still went to 80 psi. So, the gauges work...
