Looking for dock in exchange of use of our boat (South Florida)

Hey all, might be a longshot but worth a try. I have a 30' '87 SeaRay Weekender 300, I need to find a dock, preferably behind someone's house in the South Florida area (as far north as Pompano, as far south as Miami). Thought it might be a good idea if an experienced boater would be interested...

I actually hadn't mentioned any particular issue. Was looking for a mechanic to make an inspection and draw up a long term maintenance plan.

Does anyone have a mechanic recommendation in South Florida with experience with our older Sea Rays? I keep getting replies from shops saying they don't work on boats so old.

Remove carpet headliner of my '87 Weekender 300?

Started on this project, when pulling it down, the old headliner leaves a redish dust on the surface of the fiberglass, as well as the very old adhesive. Tried using something from Home Depot, barely made a dent. Used 3M spray adhesive remover, also did nothing. Wonder if just scrubbing it with...

Does anyone have any recommendations for canvas repair or manufacture? Looking at options for my 87 Weekender 300. I'm in South Florida.

Is it a good idea to remove, clean and re-install side cabin windows?

Yeah, the single glass sounds like a good idea. For me, I'm renovating the whole interior and those windows are so prominent and so dirty that it instantly dates the cabin. Want it to look as new as possible.

Is it a good idea to remove, clean and re-install side cabin windows?

I've attached a picture with a green circle of the window I'm talking about on my 87 Weekender 300. They're really dirty, plus both seem to have leaks. I was wondering if it would be a good idea to just completely remove the windows, clean them and then re-install them. If anyone has any...

    Official 1980's Weekender/Sundancer 300 thread

I want to replace the cabin windows on my Weekender 300. I was looking at searayman on eBay and wondering why the only option is tinted. I'm guessing it's for some practical reason, but can't think of one other than keeping the cabin cool. Anyone know any other reason? I would like to make them...

Can I make my old boat look white and shiny? How?

Thanks Mike. I wonder if buffing and waxing will actually turn it white or whether it needs to be painted. I guess I can try on a small area, see if it does turn white and decide then.

Can I make my old boat look white and shiny? How?

I've attached a couple pictures of a boat that has similar color to mine. It is chalky, and basically ivory instead of white. Can I make this look bright white and shiny, where you can see your reflection? Or is it a lost cause with this boat? How would I do that? Thanks so much

Any ideas on a new door to my cabin to fit over a new A/C unit?

Thanks bobeast! That is pretty much the plan. I have a 195ah SLA battery and waiting on two 400w panels. On a good sunny day (which is basically the only days we take the boat out anyway), should have A/C all day.

Any ideas on a new door to my cabin to fit over a new A/C unit?

Wow, amazing to me I didn't think of that to begin with! Seems so obvious now, hah. Thank you!

Any ideas on a new door to my cabin to fit over a new A/C unit?

As you can see in the picture, I'm planning on running a window A/C unit sitting like that. Been trying to figure out a nice-looking solution for closing the opening, perhaps with a door that rolls down from the top and sits on top of the AC. Wondered if anyone here had any ideas! For anyone...

Anyone in South Florida renting out a private dock or slip?

Great tip! Yeah, Banyan is the marina that I've planned on, though it is a bit of a dump. $390/mo tho all in.
