Port and Starboard Engine fuel consumption different

Does one side run cooler than the other? a rich running engine runs cooler. A simple thermostat stuck open could also cause problems when not warmed up.

    Docking The Beast

Agree with parking it like you're driving a skid steer using just the transmissions with outdrives straight. Hopefully some tips that will work for you: 1. Turning: WIth both engines at throttle and one side in forward and the other in reverse, on a completely calm curent/wind, the boat will...

    310 Sundancer Thread (2007 & newer)

Thanks - any suggestions on which mount I should use if I don't have the aft flag holder? From what I've seen, Magmas are really the only choice for a grill - is that right?

    310 Sundancer Thread (2007 & newer)

Hope you all don't mind me changing the topic... Anybody have an after-market grill? Where did you mount it on your 310? Thanks!

    Chesapeake Bay Destinations

Is that the Crab Claw? Good place on the water and cash only. I'm new to boating on the Chesapeake, but I'm wondering why nobody has mentioned Smith Island yet? That's one of the destinations we're planning on this Summer. Chesapeake Beach has a nice water park if you've got kiddies and a...

why is my 300 Sundancer going thru some much fuel?????

I don't know how to directly link the PDF, but if you search Google for: searay.com tst_9.pdf and look at the V-drive vs Stern Drive PDF, I think you will see that you're doing just fine MPG wise.

why is my 300 Sundancer going thru some much fuel?????

I've got the 310DA with twin 5.0 MPI/Bravo IIIs. Expect 1.2-1.5MPG (tailwind vs headwind). Some things that I've noticed that lower the MPGs: 1. Growth on the bottom. 2. Thermostat staying open (runs cooler, therefore richer) 3. Using trim tabs while on plane (I'm still a newbie - it's all a...

    Recommendations for power inverter

The TV in the salon is factory option, but it doesn't work off battery (2007 - 310DA...does this sound correct?). Any recommendations on an inverter and how to hook it up so it switches between ac and dc? Thank you for any assistance.

Keeping a boat in the water year round or pulling it out

I keep my boat in the mid-bay and this is our first year with this boat. Several boaters leave their boats in year-round with bubblers around here. We're thinking about trying it since the water rarely freezes.

Another non-working speedometer thread (GPS related)

Thank you - I will try this too. This boat is new to me and it was a bank repo. It appears that all the settings were messed with by who knows who and I'm going through and trying to straighten them all out without performing a master reset which I believe will really screw up the SmartCraft...

Henry, Did you have to change any settings on the C80 to do this? Thanks!

Another non-working speedometer thread (GPS related)

Thanks guys. I have a 2007 310DA with SmartCraft installed. The SC does allow me to use GPS and and choose it for speed and the transition is set to 5 MPH. But if I can't get the pitot sensor to register with 5 MPH, will it ever transition? I also turned on the speed display on the stb tach...
