Update: First trip back to Watch Hill this season. Swore I wouldnt go back due to last seasons bug and electrical dock issues. I have to say the place is back to being a really nice experience. Mosquitos were at a minimum. I guess being closed for some time led to an over abundance of them last...
Hi all. Looking to replace my Tides Sureseal shaft seals and cutlass bearings. Anybody have this done by a marina recently and what was the cost? Its a nightmare to gain access at least for me. I replaced one of the replacement seals last summer and that was a 10 advil job. I might skip the diy...

Skisafe came in great! I went through the whole process this past fall. Geico and Progressive had ridiculous high quotes. I got my 02' 340 with agreed value around $800.00
It should be a balsa core deck with a solid core hull. I do agree with the 10k price reduction on sale. If you were to fix thats what the cost could be thousands. When I purchased my 340 I had moisture and a soft spot around one of my hatches that was leaking. I did get the proper price off in...
I am beyond thrilled that Merc now makes a water impellar kit ($35) that includes a wear plate for my 8.1s! Talk about a savings not having to replace those pumps! I did buy the other end that the hoses attach to but that was a deal compared to $700 x2 or so for new pumps :)
Just switched from Falvey (who stopped writing policies) to Ski Safe. I priced out many. Geico and Progressive were ridiculously high compared to all/most others. Travelers was close on my Ski Safe quote.
I did it on my 8.1s about a year and a half ago when I changed my manifolds. It was fairly easy but again i had the exhaust off. If you were to do it with the exhaust off the hardest part may be access. Otherwise the hose clamps and oil connections were easy.
