Thats good news for all the boaters, but even better news for water reserves. We have had a ton of rain this year.

    Time to sell the boat...

I'm there Chuck. You know what the next best thing is to owning your own Sea Ray is, having friends that will let you aboard theirs.

    Time to sell the boat...

Thanks guys. We will be back one day with a new Sea Ray once the economy turns around for the better. So, who's going to let me hang out on their boat next year?

    Time to sell the boat...

The boat is sold. A sad day indeed, but a good day when it comes to finances. We sold it to a couple from NC that will use the boat on lake Hartwell. This is their first Sea Ray so I have invited then to come aboard and join the crew. I hope to see them next year at a few raft ups.

    Trailering a 260DA?

From my experience, my longer truck does have better stability than my fathers short bed Cummins, but why is that? Is it do to increased weight and more truck to push around?

    Trailering a 260DA?

Chuck, thanks for the reply. One thing I can at least say about the 04 and newer Dodge 2500's is the large brakes they have. Compared to my 01 2500 Ram, the 04 feels like it would stop a tank. So for you guys looking for a tow vehicle, Chuck is right on, brakes are as important as the engine.

    Time to sell the boat...

Dave, we don't have to sell the house, but if there is profit to be had, then it will be well worth it. By the way, we will live in the SS before we sell it.

    Time to sell the boat...

Well guys, we have decided to sell the 200. I just had the recent unfortune of having surgery on a staff infection, and a week in the hospital. Add that to the slow ecomomy, and the decision isn't that difficult. Even though I have insurance, the med bills are starting to come in and its time...

    Trailering a 260DA?

Great post guys. I will be considering a 260 or 270 in the next couple years and would like your opinions on a few trailer questions. I own a 2004 2500 Dodge Cummins 4x4 quad cab with a full size bed. 1. I tow a Camaro in a 24ft enclosed trailer (electric brake)and with the sway bars and...

    Marina's in Charleston for a 21ft overnight?

Guys great advice. My trailer is non painted galv, so I assume it would be ok for splashing. The reason I thought about a marina slip was to be able to just head out on the boat anytime rather we head out in the waters or just cook some dogs and burgers on the boat at the marina. But it may...

    Marina's in Charleston for a 21ft overnight?

Thanks guys for all the info. Thats kinda why I asked the question, in my searches, I noticed many marinas start at 30'. I will definetly check out the Ashley and the Ripley Light Marina since they will be close to a hotel. My daughter should have her National Dance competition next year...
