Hello Bret, I think I have some advise for you.
I have insurance with Boat US, actually the underwriter is Continental Casualty Co. I have them write me a rider policy for a declared period, for my visits to the islands. Costs about $150.00 for the two week time frame. They require me to cross the Gulf Stream with a "flotilla" meaning two or more boats starting from the same location and arriving at the same location. The Fling crossings will be good, they might want confirmation that you will be crossing with them. Big thing to check on your policy is that there is no exclusion of the Bahamas on the 100 mile thing. You just need to call around and check different companies for rider policys, to see who requires what, and will they write one for you. It can be done. Heck call CCC and tell them you know they cover me (Mike Powell). See what they say.
