    Buying and selling private

Hey Tim….its been awhile. We had a bigger slip open on our dock, so we moved to the slip giving us the option of moving to a bigger boat. Last summer a guy on our dock said if I ever sold my boat he wanted a chance to buy it. So around July 4th we talked, I shot him a price and we sold our...

    Buying and selling private

Congrats on the quick sale! I'm looking and my broker sent me an email with the listing and before lunch text me and said it had sold already.

We have only been out a couple of times this year. It does seem that boat traffic is down this year. I have not purchased gas this year, but someone on our dock did last weekend and they said it was $5.75 at Rock Lane.

Westerbeke 4.5 kw raw water pump leak repair.

Reviving old thread. I need to replace the water pump on my Westerbeke 7.0 bcgb. I have found the equivalent Johnson replacement. When I am putting the elbows on the new pump is it necessary to use pipe dope or Teflon tape on the threads?

    Spring Polishing has begun

It wasn’t super difficult to remove, but just had to work in smaller sections. I called the company today and they said since the white cloud is a polymer, the fiberglass will not feel as slick after applying as compared to after applying bubblegum. My last wax I used was Meguiars flagship...

    Spring Polishing has begun

I applied the bubblegum with a rotary and wool pad. I’m applying whiteclound with a fine foam pad on a random orbit. It has been very hot and humid in Missouri this week. I’m working outside, and trying to stay out of direct sun. I found out the hard way, it’s hard to remove if doing too big...

    Spring Polishing has begun

Question for Smoove users…..I just had my bottom paint done(been in the list since January). While it’s out of the water, I’m doing the sides- rub rail down. So I’m trying Smoove. I did the hull using the bubblegum. Today I started using the white cloud- and plan to do 2 coats. Why would my...

    Calling all 360 DA owners

Does anyone know if the 360DA’s have a solid bottom vs a cored bottom? I thought they had a solid bottom if they were built at Merritt Island, which I believe our boats were. I’m finally getting another transducer installed, and the installer was asking. Update...I emailed SeaRay...our...

We try to be as careful as possible. We are fortunate enough to have an electrician on our dock who conducts an inspection on every dock at our marina each year. In addition we have a shock alarm, that should detect any current in the water.

We had a good 4th. We had a fish fry on the dock Sunday night. I think we only took the boat out 1 time and spent the rest of the weekend at the dock and swimming and paddle boarding around the dock.
