The Mercury smart craft we have is displaying the temperature at -27F which I’m being told is the default for a faulty sensor. Where is this sensor located I can’t find it in the MerCruiser 8.2L Big Block manual

So how do you check oil temp on the boat? It’s a 2014 SeaRay SLX 270.

I have this tachometer and it is displaying No Data when I turn it on. As I cycle through it I can see water temperature which is wrong (reading -27F), fuel level, trim angle and rpms. Reading the manual it should also display water temper of engine, oil temp and pressure. What am I missing...

Correct, the running temp is 14.2 standing is 12.5 or so. The boat does have a DTS. I have not gotten the batteries load tested which I will do tomorrow. As for the throttle the boat does run while in throttle or idle but cuts out in both about the same timeframe.
