Ignition Will Not Fire Until Key Released

Engines and all ignition components are like new. Had a hard time starting the port engine until I realized it starts right up after I release the key from cranking mode and the key goes into just the running position on the switch; and the engine starts? Thinking the ignition switch? Starboard...

Looks great!! Any hints how to remove the seatback upright would appreciated. I removed the seats last fall and had them redone, now ready to reinstall if we ever get spring!! Looked like the back to back seatback would be a challenge so I chickened out and just did the seats. Thanks

    Great Lakes Fuel Prices

North shore of western Lake Erie, Ontario, was around $5.50 to 5.80 all summer for regular (after all the liters and $ conversions). Wanna bet what next summer will bring? ):

Flexiteak vs Nu teak, cost quality and wear

Hi Steve, We had Plasteak of Ohio http://www.plasteak.com/ do a "teak" swim platform last year. We could not be happier. I just sent them a "brown" paper template. The material is a flexible vinyl and installed perfectly. The company was great to deal with. Lots of compliments, no complaints so...

    Huron & Vermillion Ohio Marinas

Hi, We plan to be around these ports for the first time in mid August. There seems like lots of Marina choices and they all look good. Does anyone have any favourites, quiet Family oriented? Hopefully within walking to the Town Centers. Thanks Bob

Sea Ray 290 Sundancer 1998 Widow Seals

Hi John, There was another thread that covered this in detail, if I can hunt it up again I'll post it to you. Bottom line OEM Taylor Windows, believe in Florida, have an excellent reasonably priced upgaded replacement seal, try http://www.taylormarine.com/hardware/index.html. Hope this helps for...

    Stater solenoid

Hi Jeff, I have a had a few of these go, my understanding is typically solenoids die a slow death. The first signs, which maybe what your surveyor encountered, would be a few "clicks" at startup, before engaging and sending voltage to your starter. Then for while everything seems OK, then a few...

    Edmund fitizgerald

The Fitz was a terrible disaster. Let's not forget Nov. 11 - 13th. 1913, the Greatest storm to hit the Great Lakes, hundreds of souls lost. One ship lost during that storm in Lake Huron, off PT Clark, the Carrauthers, has never been located! I concur with 1956olds, however much we master, the...
