It is best practice to trim the out drive as far down as possible when running on the muffs.

Maybe the fuel vent was clogged. Distributor cap is easily replaced and not worth the labor time to clean. I’m a little confused by “cleaned the cap”. Especially in context of changing spark plugs.

I have used that stuff before and it works great. I had a plastic fender on my quad smashed in so instead of heat welding I sewed it together and used that stuff. Held up great for several years and probably would is still fine for the guy who bought my 30 year old suzuki.
