That could be a possibility that the tank isn’t filling properly, the filling hose on the port is longer and may airlock, leaving the starboard with more fuel, I do get fuel out of both tank vents when filling but air locks can cause weird issues
No generator fitted, the black tank is always empty and water is in center of the boat, the fuel tank are on the port and starboard sides, but when full or empty it still leans, I can put more fuel in the port tank and it will balance it out, owned the boat for 5 years now and wasn’t this bad...
Hi all
Can anyone help before I drill any holes in my boat to an ongoing problem I have with the boat leaning to the starboard side when stationary, bilge is always dry, no water to be seen anywhere inside boat but leans over about 3” and takes about 100kg on the port to set it back level...
Hi
I have improved the problem a little on that the starboard engine doesn’t cavitation as much as the port by removing the transducer, but in rough water below 20 knots they cavitation, or like you say, they may be ventilating, but not sure as yet, I have tried to resolve this with changing the...
Yes I have the older 1998 with the separate aft cabin like you described, I myself prefer it to the newer layout as you have more privacy when you have guests, the only draw back is with the front berth, you have to climb up onto it and make sure you don’t hit your head on the deck hatch...
Thanks guys, I am in contact with a guy on eBay to source these 310 decals but he doesn’t have a copy of them, he asked me can I send him a close up photo to copy but unless I can find someone to send me a close up photo of their decal I am out of options as I have looked everywhere
Hi all, can anyone help me on suppling a photo of the 310 decal on a sundancer 310da please, mine have been removed prior to my ownership and would like to re install them but have no pattern to work from, cannot find any photos on internet and feels like I own the only 310 da in the uk.
Hi
Here is a photo of the drive with bearing carrier exposed, it’s heavily corroded by the seal, just lucky the seal is deep or it would be totally exposed in parts , also heavy pitting on the lower casing too. I have painted the carrier in the past to protect it
I think this is something that’s going to be a trial and error, mags lasted 6 months really, cannot afford to have any more corrosion on drives as I fear it will start leaking oil, just hope the nav alloy saves the day
New set of navalloy anodes fitted this weekend with matching trim tab anodes, so see how it goes, local marine engineer seems to think they will not work in fresh water and will from a white glaze and stop working like traditional aluminium anodes. I hope he is wrong
I was a bit concerned about the cavitation plate being too high, I have removed the transducer, and fitted a flush blank instead, what’s your thoughts on the bearing carrier with a chunk missing, I have attached a photo of the prop installed and there is a small hole between gear case and hub, I...
Update of progress so far
Boat is out of the water and a few points raised are being assessed, so far removed the downscan as it was inline with the starboard drive, the cavitation plate is in line with the hull, but only just, still worried about the bearing carrier corrosion, not sure if this...
Had another look at the prop o drev, and the data sheet does say different what’s listed on the add, I have used it on my drives for years with good results, and it’s also a propeller Antifouling paint, I have attached the brochure from international paints...
