I have a 2002 260 SunDancer w/the 6.2 MPI Merc....the thumb depress button on the shift/throttle arm doesn't need to be depressed to shift into Fwd/Rvrs. And even when you do depress it, it doesnt do anything. It wouldnt bother me all that much if it wasnt making it very diffucult to shift...
