Ordered a replacement oil dipstick tube for the B1 engine I am preparing to install and have a small issue. There is some kind of ferrule crimped on the tube that won't allow me to slide the nut down to the threads of the elbow that exits the oil pan.
The old tube does not have this ferrule...
To close this out for any future readers: Issue has been traced to an aft portside head gasket failure.
